    Childish Censorship

Apparently if you happen to post an answer to a question over on the Practical Machinist site and mention the CNC zone, the reference to the zone is edited out and the thread closed immediately. (nuts)

What are they scared of? Most people visit several sites.

Al is a Forum Prostitute just kidding Al

The real problem is that Al has so much info in his head that if he doesn't get rid of a specific amount everyday his head will explode.

Seriously though, if that is how they want to be, then so be it. Thanks for the heads up Al.

BTW: You always welcome to share your wisdom and experience here.

Yeah, I stopped using that site because of the censorship, the guy that runs would do well heading up a third world dictatorship.

In actual fact, I'mgoin there to delete my acount right now.

I agree, I am not bothering with it anymore.
Also when the guy asked a question himself and it was not quite what he expected or if you ask for more information, you were likely to get verbal abuse. (chair)

I occasionally post there and also have had posts deleted because I mentioned CNCzone.

Hmmm I'm starting to think I should go there just to post "CNCzone" 10,000 times
Could be a fun game for a few seconds anyways... lol

No offence Al, but cnczone could hardly claim to be angels.
I have had posts removed and new threads denied.

I have found so far that posts here are removed or denied, as you say, are based on the forum rules that are outlined when you join the forum, I do not see anything in the other forums that declare that no mention should be made of another at the risk of the post being censored and removed.

If you have a post get edited or deleted, 99% of the time it's due to other members reporting your post for rules violations, or inappropriate posts. We go out of our way to not delete posts here. If you don't like the way it's run, we can easily show you the door.

If you provide a link to a post on Practical Machinist that has an answer to question here it does not get deleted, but the reverse is not true.

In all due fairness I have to say that aside from nasty posts or spam the only posts and threads that I have ever seen unnecessarily deleted here were in the bobcad section , that had an obvious conflict of interest and the bobcad guys were trying to quiet unhappy customers . other than that things are pretty fair here
I've had my moments and arguments and I think that I've only had one post deleted in all my time here

I will have to go and check to see if my posts have been deleted. What I usually see is that CNCzone is spelled ******* over there.

    Childish describes it very well.

Practical Machinist does not want to associate itself with hobby machinists or the type of machines they typically purchase. It is geared toward professionals, just mention that you bought a Chinese mill\drill and your thread will be gone in seconds. I think it is over censored, but this place is under censored, too much spam is allowed here. Practical Machinist is a way better place for machining advice than here.
