    Image to mach3 gcode

I have some simple 2D items I would like to convert from a vector or raster image directly to Mach3 capable gcode.

That is without having to redraw the shape in a higher end program save it as dxf or dwg and convert it in a cam program. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I am using a mini mill and the items are shell inlays for guitars

Converting from Raster and Vector are two very different things, that require very different methods. Raster is not a good choice for an inlay pocket, and should be converted to vector first.

Vectric's Cut2D will do the pocketing, is easy to use, and not too expensive.
