Post I am having problems with my Mazak AJV-18n

I have been using this machine for a while and now the tool changer just stopped working. The changing post wont drop down and spin around like it should. It just stays up and a code comes up with "300 ATC ARM CW SENSOR MALF". I have no idea what that means. Please help.

    j bird,

It sounds like your tool change arm has drifted off its switch. My machine does this from time to time.
You need to locate the solenoid switches(ajv60/120 on back of machine near tool changer arm, under sheet metal cover) that operate the arm. Using an allen wrench, depress the solenoid switch on one side, if no action, depress opposite side. This will force the arm back onto its switch. Clear alarm on control panel and you should be ready to run. you may also need to up the air pressure, be careful small adjustments to air screw mean large increases in tool arm speed.

    Good luck!
