I am putting together a PMAC system for a lathe, using NC-32 v2.36 software, and a hand-built 8-switch Operator Control Panel that duplicates the functionality of Delta Taus genuine 8-Switch OCP. I believe that OCP was used on the Advantage 500, but am not certain of the model number.
I am having several problems along the way trying to get v2.36 software to work, correctly.
If I load the computer with unaltered NC v2.36, do the servo tuning to get motors moving, etc, and accept defaults on most of the global I variables, upload the 'lathe.cfg' file which uses 'ncpanel.plc', the first thing I notice is that spindle override is always 45%, and the spindle override switch has no effect on the displayed value.
If anyone has upgraded an Advantage 500 (with the 8-Switch OCP) to use NC32 v2.36 software, it would be great to hear from you.
Thanks,
Steve
