    Question Alibre questions

If I purchase this software do I need to pay ever again to retain full functionality?

    From Alibre-

"When your license key is close to expiring, this message will be displayed. If you are a Trial user, we invite you to purchase Alibre Design at which time you will receive a new license key. If you are a customer, you will receive a perpetual license key via email the day your license key expires."

So I never have to pay again unless I want a newer version?

Also I found an offer for.. "Alibre Design 8.0 for Rhino, AutoCAD LT or TurboCAD users" while searching for software in the forums. This site is a great resource, thanks http://www.ohyeahcad.com/catalog/product_info.php?

It says the price is $495. with proof of purchase from Rhino, AutoCAD LT or TurboCAD.

Does this mean I can go buy one the cheap (sub $100) versions of turbocad like you see on ebay and get this deal ( as long as it comes in retail box with proof of purchase)? Thanks again.

The link isn't working quite rite for some reason, but the deal is on that site.

You should call them and see what version of TurboCAD you need to have.

Thanks guys. I will call the site today and possibly Alibre themselves to make sure I'm clear on the deal.

I orderd the IMService 3 axis system so I will be using Deskcnc with this (alibre) on the Taig mill. It seems you use Alibre with the Deskcnc Paul?

I also noticed the Rhino/Alibre bundle but I figured I would try the Deskcnc features (with their probe) before moving up to Rhino.

I think the Alibre should get me cutting my designs nicley for now. Wait a minute..I don't have any tooling... (looks in wallet)
