    runout on er20 collet holder?

    3/4” - ER20 Collet Holder- $28 usd

Seems like a stellar deal, but does anybody have these and has/can anyone measure the runout on these? id love to order 2 or 3 if the TIR is reasonable.

    cheers!

I just got 4 of the standard length and one of the 3" extension in the mail this week. They look very comparable to the name brand version side by side, the Novakon version has a deeper groove so no need for a special r8 collet. I just tested one of the Novakon er20 chucks with an el-cheapo 3/8 collet and brand new 3/8 shank end mill. I got .0005 runout.

I just measured the taper of the holder and got .00025ish. I pulled the shank of the holder down enough to get the dti on it and still got about the same runout so it looks like most of the .0005 runout I was seeing is from my r8 collet and er collet. So I'd say pretty darn good tool holder.
