Elox Fanuc Q series shutting down on start up

    Hello,

We have an Elox Fanuc Q series that keeps shutting down on start up. Thinking it might be a ground fault but having trouble finding anything. Does anybody have any ideas?? Also, does anyone know of where to aquire a wiring diagram/schematic for this machine?

    Thanks.

    ha!

i'd like to test your theory but i'm almost certain that a turd can't be set on fire.

as for the drinks, next time i'm up we'll have to work away on 24 of the tasty little buggers.

For a Fanuc to go into cycle. And lock. You must have 4 things.
    Wire
    Water
    Tension
    Power

Have you checked the wire break switch or switches?

    FIXED!

    Jim,
We isolated the failed item on the power supply & replaced it with a "similar" Fanuc part!
    We got lucky.........working fine now.

    Good deal...

Don't be to tuff on the old Fanuc machines.

I just did a service call on a 1985 model that had never had the doors unlocked for a problem of any kind. They had changed out normal wear parts and expendables. But not one service call!
I have an "R" model in a plant (and many more like it of different models) that has been running 24/7 since 1986. They put a new other brand next to it in 1990 it was shot by 1999 so they bought another different brand to replace it. It is now pretty worn out and they are looking at having to replace it again. The Fanuc is still cutting parts. It still holds tolerance and is a lot ezer to maintain than the newer other machines that were next to it. And are now dead and gone.
And to replace the R Fanuc with a new one of the size that will take a part as large and heavy as it will, would hit you ? Probably $200K and that price won't get you another Fanuc that size.

Everything is built on used machines...lol.......Later Jim
