Spin the nut with Arduino servo drive

I have some servo motors with 500 CPR encoders. I always thought it would be cool to have a router with servo drives.

Since the motors spin at 3000 to 4000 with 50 VDC, and I my X axis will be 48" long....I need to spin the nut to eliminate the lead screw whip.

So....I made a timing pulley with threads through the middle, with bearing shoulders

Then I made a temporary setup to do some resting...

I also built a h-bridge motor drive to connect to the Arduino.

I have programmed the Arduino as a PID controller that takes step and direction inputs, it works ok, but I need to make some modifications to the PID program.

For the moment I am using a:
    3/8-16 threaded rod
    50 VDC power supply
Mosfet H-bridge (still needs some tweaking, sometimes it catches on fire)
An Arduino (these are great micro-controllers that are easy to program)
24" long linear 3/4" linear rails
TurboCNC for generating the steps and direction input

I am moving at 200 IPM (each step is 0.000125)

I have got a motor driver that looks like it might work. I have posted details in the open source controller boards.
