    Yasnac LX3 Overtravel - Stuck?!

    hi all-

we've just acquired a mid 90's cnc gang lathe with a yasnac lx3 control. the machine is now stuck at the hard limit switches with a 201 and 202 overtravel alarm (x and z axes). the switches seem fine, contacts clean. we just can't jog anymore...

the POS button indicates that we're at x and z zeros allaround.

any ideas how we can the table unstuck?

    thanks!

I think on that control you can hold down the "green power on button" and hit reset without letting go. Then use the handwheel to move the table back off the limits all without letting go of the green button. Be careful to go the right way or you may damage things.

    hi john-

thanks. i can see how the holding the reset button clears the messages part of the screen, but i still get a 280: machine unready. pressing the machine ready button doesn't change things. still can't jog back within safe travel range.

is it time to manually rotate the ballscrews??

and what do those green lights indicate next to the x/z buttons? thanks! see pic attached.
