Is the Roland mdx 540 a good cnc for small works?

    Hi

am new at this forum. I have been working whit cnc mills for the last 5 years, mostly big parts. I don't make
the programs just run the machines.

Now i have moved one and am working for my self.

We are building moulds in aluminium and plastic. Today my friends have a big Chin's cnc mill that i use.

Its time to buy my own now and if i reed at rolands homepage i love the mdx540.

I like it cause it seams to be pretty simple just put in the file and the format on the material. Today i have other roland

machines a print and cut and a engraver and i really love the quality on their stuff.

    My question

Is the md540 a good machine or not? Can it do like roland says or does it have lots of software problems?

I have tryed to search on cnczone but i dont get much info about the roland, some like it and some dont.

Is it any other machines in the same price range i can buy that are better in Europe.

For me its most important that its a simple mill to work whit. Just put in the file.

How good is it when you work whit aluminium and plastic

Is it a fast or slow machine?

    best regards tomislav

    hey tomislav.

did you get your roland, still in love?
I use one quite abit, up to and including 4th axis.

I've figured out lots of glitches if you need anything.
    what are you making?
