ok this may be a strange question but for "OLDER" machines and I have been told I like antiques but for single stage (one piece at a time hand loaded) stamping of light sheet metal .020-.080 what is the Proper or politically correct name for these machines and what where some of the manufacturers that made these in the 1920's and 1930's ?

finding the "antique" your looking for is not always easy but it helps if you have proper name and some of the company's who produced that type machine so any info would be appreciated

You may find some information using some of the brands of those early punch presses. I was fortunate to be a die setter in a large water heater plant and here are some of the manufactures names I can think of:
Bliss
Johnson
Cincinnati
Verson
Niagra
I can't remember the mfg. name of the huge 600ton presses we had.
Maybe the few names I listed will help some.
