    Arcoloop motion boards--diagnostics--

Just looking for any pointers on how to run some diagnostics on what I believe to be Arco 8000 boards. I have got the software from Parker. Should I just need to hook up to the RS232 on the PCA board? I'm am very much a rookie at this so any help is very appreciated.

    Thank you anyone

The Acroloop ACR-8000, if that is what you have, can be run as stand-alone or ISA bus.
If you run on a bus then you need the parallel interface program, if stand alone then the serial.
If you have the board in a slot, then there is not much point in running serial to it.
I also have the AcroCut and AcroMill software that runs on that card.
I am in fact running a couple of Knee mills with it.
What software did you get from Parker?

It is ISA-Bus. I just downloaded from website. These: ACR MotionCOMponents Tool Kit , AcroView SDK 4.2 . I would love to have AcroCut and AcroMill. Do they need a license?

It is a control out of a Milltronics Knee mill. Just trying to trouble shot.
    Thanks

I was a Acroloop integrator, when it was Acroloop out of Minnesota before they sold to Parker.
The AcroMill was an off shoot of the Acrocut that manuf. like MG Sytems and Koike-Aronson used for plasma tables.
The AcroMill version is lacking in some areas due to this, they did not get to develop it properly before selling out to Parker.
But if you know the limitations it does a fair job.
Send me and email address by PM.
