Newbie pre build Q and As

Im in the planning stage still. Building a 12"x12"x80" cnc router, a stretched pool cue machine would best describe it.

Finding parts is a little tuff...I want to ball screw the 80" X axis and need a 5turns to equal 1".

any ideas other than a custom made one?

    Thanks Jason

Hello and welcome to the ZONE! I might have misunderstood your question but I think a 1/2" 10-2 would fill your needs. It is 10 threads to the inch with a 2 start giving you in essence 5 threads to the inch. Hope that helps.

    Hi... glad to join

I trying to find long ball screws that have a 5 turns to 1 inch ratio, in the 80 inch length...ish. I have found plenty of 6ft and under, anything longer then that.... nope. thought maybe someone might know of a source. preloaded too. I want to do a chop and stretch of a k2 cnc router frame and marry a cmcmasters retro kit to it. i have had allot of error free use of my cncJR and want to stick with what i know.

    Thanks Jason
