You'll have to load the stock screen, calibrate, then reload the 2010 Screen.
I didn't want to waste the space for something you only use 1 time.

I really like this. Z is quick, precise and pretty much a no-brainer when you throw a plate on top of your work and tell it to "fetch zero" . Overall layout is excellent. Slight lag between screens but I'm sure it's my computer. I'm having a little trouble with probing -X and -Y but I'm working on it.

If somebodys still wondering about getting Gerrys screenset stop now and get it.
for me it has been the best software-side investment right after Mach3.

Gerry has been very supportive with various questions ( Propably already answered ) i asked him and did even implement functions i needed but werent in the vanilla screenset.

One thing ull need to do is if ure running Mach3 and the screenset @ 1680x1050 to run Mach3 via *.bat file and give it realtime priority every time it starts ( this is adviseable in general )

Another thing i noticed it especially with complex files the viewport becomes quite sluggish but on the viewport theres a button to switch it off.
This is due to the way the viewport rendering is implemented in Mach3 and thereby not a fault of the screenset.

Heres a little Video running the screenset on my machine, im planning to do a bit more in depth review for the screenset but thatll take a while.

This shouldn't be needed, and I'm not aware of anyone else doing this. Due to the way the Mach3 driver works, I don't think you can change it's priority.
I guess you could give the application priority, but it's better to not have anything else running at all.

What is in your .bat file?

Gerry, I'm away from my computer for a few days so I won't be able to check anything you may suggest but this is the problem I'm having with probing.

Whenever I probe -X or -Y, the probe moves at 10 ipm towards my plate and stops as soon an it makes contact, from what I understand, it's supposed to move away slightly and then re-probe slower for a more accurate position. The problem is after it touches and begins to move away, it's moving EXTREMELY SLOW, I'm talking about one step per second. This is when it's moving away from the plate to get in position for the slow probe.

    Any suggestions?

It will only probe twice if you have the slow speed set to something other than zero. Also, what is your slow speed set to?

Do all the other directions work?

Can you send me your .xml file?

I've not tried probing in any other direction except -Z and that works perfectly. I'm pretty sure I set my initial speed to 10 and my slow speed set to 5 but I'm away from my Mach3 computer for a few days so will not be able to tell you with 100% certainty. I'll send you my xml file when I get back home later this week.

Indeed, this only affects the program side of Mach 3

    the bat reads:

    -

    Echo off

    start /realtime "mach3.exe filepath"

    -

This works with winxp 32 sp3

And just sets the executable to rt mode

With large files i do mean 40k+ lines of Gcode.

If ure searching for this with google ull gonna find more people using a bat for Mach3, i think this is somewhat of a niche solution for a niche Product

    Initial Auto Zero:
When doing an initial auto zero is it possible to insert a delay or ask for another cycle start between probing the mobile plate and the fixe plate, this would give time to move (unplug) the mobile plate.

    Safe Z

Any particular way to set Safe Z for 2010 screen set
    Thank you

This would be kinda nice actually. Currently I haven't discovered a nice way of grounding the shaft on my Bosch Colt so I have to run to take off the alligator clip. And then there's the case of those times when you forget to take off the alligator clip or forget to put it on :/

To avoid the whole clip/contact thing I copied an idea that works really well for me. Instead of making a connection this one breaks the connection. No way to mess this one up(?) and no need to have a connection to your router . Of course you need to change your settings in Mach for it to work.

I can do either a delay, or a dialog box that asks you to click OK when you're ready. which would you prefer?

I set safeZ to machine coordinates, and -.5". Anywhere less than 0 should be fine.

Check "manual spindle control" and it'll wait for you to remove the clip. Just click OK to continue.

I have the G540 as well. I'm not at home so I can't see the specific settings but it is the same thing you have now for the probe (under ports and pins) except you just change the "active low" setting to the opposite of what it is now.

Hi, I am using shuttle pro to run most of the options on my CNC, it would be nice if I could use it, so a dialog box asking me for something like cycle start, I think that would be safer than a delay.

    Thank you for both answers

I don't know if this can give you an idea; maybe insert the command in the initial macro to press cycle start after the mobile plate touch and before the rapid move to the fix plate asking for a cycle start.
    Thank you

The problem is that I don't think you can have Mach3 wait for a button press from a regular screen button during a macro. It's easy to display a message box which will stop the macro until you close it with the OK button, but I can't wait for Cycle Start.
