    Arrow 500 1996 trouble a2100

I recently aquired this machine at auction. Thanks to all the support at this site I have replaced the hard drive with one off ebay. It is now showing a 4000f system fail, which is the dv5 board I quess. Here is my question, when I power up the machine the contactor that powers the dc bus is never engaged, the drives are showing undervolts - duh. All 3 axis appear to be at their limits. Do I need to manually move them off the switches before I can get them to power up? I cannot find any info in the schematic or manuals. I don't really want to screw this thing up if I can avoid it.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Hi ReBco.
The contactor that you refer , it actually feeds with 3 phase volt. to DC power supply wich gives the DC 350 VDC

As long as you have a software related problem or e-stop condition you will not be able to see the *machine power required prompt*
In normal conditions , after this message appears , the power button
is pressed and the contactor should be energized & maintened,

OK, I see this on the wiring diagram. Thanks for the insight. CR5 is not closing- at what point is this relay closed? As soon as the cpu is turned on the fault light on the dv5 board lights up. Is this a bad omen? Just looking for a place to start. Also the i/o board has no fault or enable lights lit up.
    thanks
    for all help.

I think I will reseat the boards and see if that works.

    Hi Eric

I just bought an Cincinnati Milacron Arrow 500 1995 from an auction in Germany. After installation and setup looks like SWARF REMOVAL TRAYS are missing.

**Please help me and make a picture with yours so I can replicate them.**

I have lot of documentation in English and German (programming manual just German, I'm looking for english) and if you need I can help.

    [email protected].

    Thanks
    David

No power to the drives, etc would be totally normal with a CPU error. You said you got a hard drive off ebay, is it for the EXACT machine model? All the configuration data is on that drive, different i/o's or axis drives etc will cause big issues.

Did you get the coolant tanks?
The trays would be pretty hard to replicate, it would likely require more than just pictures.
I can get some pictures for you in the next day or so if you'd like.

    Hi Joe,

Yes I got the tanks. Replicate it might be a big word for what I will do, but I need to do something. Please make some pictures with yours so I can figure out how to do it. I'll attach pictures to see what I get here.

    Thanks
