I love brass. It begs to be machined. Easy on the eyes, tools and machine. These routers do a nice job.
When I was machining aluminum on my router, I was taking heavier cuts and going quite a bit faster on speeds. The main issue I had was router heating up and clean up afterward. I was glad to get my mill completed to take over metal cutting duties. If you only have one machine though, there is no doubt that one of yours can get the job done in lots of different material.
Keep up the good work.

Thanks , had to slow the speed down ,because his bit was far to long , but with right bit would be far faster and larger cuts. The ViperXZ has no problem cutting ,which is great for a inexpensive router ,great for people learning CNC
Absolutely. I agree there. Good design, well made and good price. Great job.
Lee
ViperXZ complete price is close to what year it is ,lol
the router was actually running faster than my mill does that brass program. speeds and feeds are according to the spindle speed and recomended rates of the end mill maker. whether the router can take a heavier cut is meaningless, the tool cant / shoudlnt. those tools are alot smaller than they look on video
the circle pocket ended up accurate well within .001" and each level was dead on top of the last. its actually extremely impressive for a long span round rail unsupported machine. the cirle next to it in the block was cut at twice the depth. its still accurate, but the finish is a little rougher.
you could certainly go faster without hurting the router, but i think the shallow cuts are a good compromise for still getting a fairly fast removal rate whicle keeping high precision and good finish. kinda like a baseline for what people can expect if they buy the machine and want to cut aluminium.
Yes i am happy with the machine ,no problem with them other than small coupling problem at first ,but never had to redesign anything on them . but only have parts for limited amount now ,once this are gone ,it is 2 to 3 months till the new rails show up,but will be unlimited amount of them after that
George-
You promised my machine would ship today. I need a call to confirm the status.
Thanks,
Steve
I will have turn key prices on the ViperX and ViperXZ back hopefully tomorrow with list of everything included with them,There is only 30x36 inch only in ViperXZ at this time left,
also turn key prices on the new Raptor's that are almost ready
But will have another 20 of the 30x48 ViperXZ just after 40 of the new Raptors are done.
Going to finally start advertising everywhere, so i will be able to get people to come and work lol
Maybe i will get my own thread in the Machine sub forums soon, I thought they would have by now,he told me he was going to set it up , but he must have got busy
Hi , i am looking to get a little bit of graffic work done, if any one has time?
