    Question MasterCam X2 Chamfering toolpath

    Hi guy, this is my first time trying to do a chamfering toolpath with MasterCam X2, When i trying to generate the toolpath i get these warning ( Entry: ramp Contour, chamfer and 3d are not enabled. Upgrade to level 1 is required. ) what these warning really mean and how to make it work ?

    On the start up splash screen what level does it say you are licensed for?

    Chamfering Toolpath

    Hi foxsquirrel,
    On the start up splash screen it say : ( Design ,Mill Level 3 ,Lathe Level 3 ,Wire EDM Level 3 ,Router Level 3 ) What is these level mean anyway ?

    It means that the info that you just gave is not right.
    Lathe, Router, and Wire levels don't go that high.

    Has your installation been done by a reseller, or yourself ?

    many reasons can cause that error
    - bad installation
    - wrong tool selected or defined incorrectly
    - wrong settings in the operation

    What skill level are you at with CAD and CAM systems ?

    any idea how to fix these problem, BTW my CAD & CAM skill level are acceptable, not that good but i think i can make a part from a drawing to final machining , I'm just trying MasterCam and see how it work.

    contact your reseller and try it the right (legal) way.

    I just format the whole system and reinstall the program, yep! Superman you are right it just a bad instalation, now don't get the anoying warning anymore. Thank guy for your help.
