    Testing a C10 BOB

First post for me...after weeks of lurking.
I have read so much in the last two weeks its crazy...

My question is, what is a simple way to test the parallel communication of the C10 BOB with the PC? Is there a test in Mach that I can run? I see a application in the Mach folder called 'driver test'. it says sucessful. I am running a Win7 32 bit on a desktop machine. The parallel port on the PC is not configured in any unusual way.

I am powering the C10 BOB with 5 volts .7 amps. The red power light is on. The enable pin has 5 volts.

Its possible that I am not using a good parallel cable. It could be a 25 pin serial I guess, not sure of the difference between serial and parallel.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated!

I purchased a pretty standard digital driver kit from Keling. See item list below.

Simplest way, is to get it all plugged in and run some code!
(at least thats what I had done!)

Get the wiring all correct, then run some simple code with Mach3
    (ie: the road runner G-Code)
