Hi All,

I had bought a toroidal transformer, a capacitor & bridge rectifier (together it should make a power supply of 68V 12A.) & I've started to connect my toroid up to the rectifier, & i measure 100VDC out from the rectifier instead of 68V? I also measured the toroid & i'm getting excactly 110VAC thats going in aswell going out. Am i doing something wrong?

The Toroid gives off 110VAC on both the primrary & secondary, when i apply the main power line to them on either side?

Measure the output of the toroid without the rectifier connected, i.e. measure the AC secondary, if you had a capacitor connected as well as the rectifier you should have had approximatly 76vac.
Post the actual ac voltage on the secondary and that should tell all.

its ok now, i got it all working now. i had a the red & black connected to the main & the other red & black connected to the rectifier. Instead of the black & black connected to the main & the red & red connected to the rectifier. I now have my right voltages 50VAC, 70.7VDC.
