My current ballscrew recently jammed up. Anyways short of a regrind or rebuild ($1600-$2500 Quoted from 2 shops), i was looking into buying a new one off eBay and having the ends machined. Since the overall length is so long my options are pretty limited and I have only found a few that actually are long enough to be considered (links below).
I bought my mill to cut .063" aluminum sheet and plastics. Not to mill steel and titanium so i think i can get away with a high lead (using a 2.2kw 24,000rpm spindle). I would love to find a screw without such a high lead but beggars cant be choosers
Attached are a ton of pictures with dimensions and notes. The ebay user already stated he can machine the ends to my specifications (and if he cant i know shops that can). I'm just worried that the ballnut wont slide through my carriage, or worse be so dang wide it wont even fit without slamming into the gantry. I'm open to all options at this point as long as i can get this damn thing running. If anyone knows of anyone or anywhere else that has the length of ballscrew required please let me know. I have a feeling that the 2 listings below have to large of ballnuts for my application (as in they will not fit through my carriage hole picture below).
Thank you people!
