There is so much information there, I almost dont know where to start!!!!
Generate a toolpath and then right clcik and choose "Verify!"
i realize my question was short of info but i didn't want to go off babbling about something i know nothing about and spew out a bunch of useless info.
what types of things would you like to know in order to help me solve this problem?
i have tried to right click and select verify, the software says "no data to verify" when i have clearly out put a working program.
same thing in predator editor
Can you walk through a simple circle pocket??? Draw a circle, select pocket...Generate toolapth....etc...
No data to verify - Is that a path issue for Predator?
In BobCAD, go to Preferences - Settings Default
In the popup window click the "Directories" tab.
For "Project", click the ellipses (...) and navigate to this folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Predator Software\Common Files\Jobs
or
C:\Program Files\Predator Software\Common Files\Jobs
See if that doesn't fix it. Sorry, that's all I got.
@Burrman
are you asking me to do it? or are you asking me if i am able to do it?
if what you are asking me is, can i do it the answer is yes. i have been using bob-cad to create programs for a few weeks now, programs work, parts are good.
the only problem i am having is simulating them. i have been creating programs and running them on a simulator on a okuma controller in the shop. they work but it is just kind of a hassle.
@SBC cycle
thanks for the reply! i tried this and the directory you gave me was already
defaulted to. i reselected to be sure but it didn't help.
Hello Jay... Just asking you to walk through simple steps so we have a starting point...Better yet, make a file with a circle toolpathed and zip it and post it here...
If you get "No data to verify" error, the default project path doesn't exist. If no error but only empty window comes up, Predator software is not installed. There are two Preditor installs in:
C:\Program Files\BobCAD-CAM\BobCAD-CAM V23\System Files
They'd install both the simulator and editor, which should enable the "Verify" and "Edit" menus.
hopefully this helps....
Hey dizzle,
The bbcd file (Or BobCad file....) This will have your geometry and toolpath selection and such, with some other info that may help...
MAYBE THIS? I KNOW ITS NOT EXACTLY WHAT YOUR ASKING FOR BUT I'M REALLY BUSY IN THE SHOP RIGHT NOW AND DON'T HAVE THE TIME TO SPARE CREATING NEW FILES FOR THIS. IT IS JUST A "DRILL CYCLE" (A LIED TO CENTER DRILL CYCLE) AND A ROUGHING/FINISHING PROFILE PASS.

Hi Burr
Yes, it Verified and Backplotted in Predator fine here also so can`t see anything wrong with his files.
Here is a daft suggestion, I know the directory path was checked and appeared to be OK but is Predator actually installed at that location ???
May need a new download and install of Predator ??? Not from inside BobCAD !!

Clutching at straws

He did say he checked the directory path, but eluded to it being set as the default that sbc posted. But sbc posted 2 paths and since he has a 64 bit os, his path should be the one with the (x86) in the program files part...
Is this the path there...?????
Also, as Rob points out, the best way to be sure is to actually "Browse" to each folder that is listed...That way you can be sure the path is correct...
my path was indeed the one with the (x86). i'll try to browse to it when i get a chance today and let you know how that goes
