I've not seen anyone post pictures of that. Just the grooves on the saddles.

Potatohead, I just discovered were almost neighbors and both working on a G0704 conversion we should chat. I have my X2 Hoss converted that I'm using for the G0704. It'll cut the oil grooves easily. PM me if interested I don't want to mess up Hoss's thread.

I'll have more things working and could use it to make my next part.
Maybe I'll load the 6 axis screenset I'm working on too.

I have a Mach 4 beta plugin for my Pokeys to experiment with.
Sent an email to vistacnc asking if/when they'll have a plugin ready.

    Re: Hoss's G0704

Here's a screen capture of my 6 axis Mach 4 screenset so far.
    The editing is a breeze.
I think I'll shorten the length of the dro's from their original length so I can increase the toolpath screen from it's original size.

    Re: Hoss's G0704

Yeah it's pretty simple to get it setup, I'd say easier than Mach 3.
I may tinker with the screenset some more tonight and go in tomorrow to load it on the mill pc, get some inputs and outputs going.

I'm not a developer or programmer just a user, I'll leave that stuff to the nerds, that's why I paid for the licenses.
If I was into that stuff I'd go for linuxcnc which is free so you expect to do more on your end though it was pretty easy to get the basics working on that too.

    Re: Hoss's G0704

I tweaked my screenset a bit, changed some font sizes, fixed the history bar that was missing at the bottom and rearranged it so their actual feedrate dro is under the feedrate box.
Also changed the LED's size and colors to the same used in mach 3.

Looks good, I didnt find it so easy. I roam around the Mach4 support forum as it is getting much better.

I read the manuals and setting up Mach 4 was straight forward.
    Product Manuals - Newfangled Solutions
I've used screen editing programs before and the one built into Mach 4 is similar, it has some features similar to CAD/CAM programs I've used before too.
I could make a little video showing some basics on using it.

That would be a good idea Hoss I learnt most of the things I know how to do with M3 from your vid`s

when you first look at the set up for M4 its a bit confusing but once you work your way through it, it becomes clear double set up and all that
