    Hey Hoss,
So the OD of .530 is the revised size or the size of the printed part you used in the video?

I said in the video the part was .5345 and too tight so .530 should work better.

The grease works great, makes it a lot easier to flip them.

I ended up just ordering an entire new X-Axis combo through Chai, that way I get an assembly I know works vs. messing around with getting just another nut again like last time.

I look forward to finally getting this thing going.

Great video Hoss, thanks for taking your time to make it.

Hoss. When I purchase your belt drive plans this weekend, do you or do you know of any one that can make the pulleys for me? I have a 9 x 19 Grizzly lathe, but my lathe skills arent quite up to the task yet (or at least that I can trust myself with on something important like this).

The plans include part numbers for the pulleys to be ordered. Generally IIRC just the bores need to be opened up a slight amount.
A lazy man does it twice.

    Sorry but I don't.
If you're making the timing pulley versions, as fastest said they basically just get bored out.
If the v-belt version, yes they take a bit more finesse but practice makes perfect and the stock doesn't cost much.
I've made my share of scrap over the years but that's the good thing, you can start over fresh and learn from your mistakes.

Checked the ballscrews with a dial indicator and a pair of v-blocks, runout was at most .001 on the machined ends so they are good to go in my new delta printer, actually already installed them. I'll be back to mill projects soon.
A bit different design than the one I just finished. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:50968

    Hoss,

Are the ballnuts stock or did you upgrade to oversize balls?

Thanks guys but I had a few years head start on you.

Stock balls, not much worried about trying to get .0005 less backlash with a printer.
abict these have only about .001 but I can check once it's running.

    Daniel,

.001 is awesome, a lot better than the Roton's .003 out of the box.

Is 0.001 the general consensus on these ball screws and nuts?
