    Exclamation Need help to modfy the MPLFAN.PST in Mastercam 9.1

    HI postprocessor Gurus

    I need help as stated above. There are a couple of things i need to change to work with my controller(Mach3).

    #1. Tool change and tool offset output. Current output is T0101
    as in Tool 1 Offset 1

    Output needs to be: T1 being the tool number
    G43 H1 being the tool offset

    Same go's for ending to cancel: T1
    G49 H1 Canceling the offset

    #2. G32 command Current output G32 Xxx Yyy Eee
    E being the pitch of the thread.

    Output needs to be: G32 Xxx Yyy Fff
    F being the pitch as feed per rev.

    #3. G76 command

    Output needs to be:
    G76 Xxx Zzz Jjj Kkk Qqq Ppp Hhh Iii Lll Ccc Bbb Ttt

    Where X=EndX Mandatory
    Z=EndZ Mandatory
    J=StartX
    K=StartZ
    Q= spring passes
    P=Pitch or lead of thread
    H=# of passes for thread
    I= infeed Angle
    L=Chamfer
    C=Clearance
    B=Depth of last pass
    T=Taper

    Any help will be apreciated.I would prefer directions on how to change the post rather than one that has been changed.It is the only way to learn when you do it your self.

    Thanks

    RE: Post help update

    Hi

    O OH!! . Looks like the guys on the forum is stuck in helping with my problem.

    Not to worry. I some how expected this to happen. In my search for awnsers I got hold of the Post procesor Ref. Guide from Mastercam. It took a while to figure out but I managed to fix som of my problems.Here they are!!!

    #1. Tool change almost fixed. Everything outputs fine exept for the offset number value( H ). It stays on 0.It does not change from tool to tool. Still working on this one!!!

    #2. G32 comand fixed :banana:

    #3. G76 still in the pipe line. Any help will be apreciated!!!!!!

    Thanks

    Hi guys,
    MBFisher, the post reference should be available from your MasterCam dealer. I can help you modify your post if you want. Don't know anything about a Fagor though.

    Deon, send me your post, I'll look at it and see if I can fix it. I'm finishing up my conversion of a Seig mini lathe that I'll be using Mach 3 on so we can work together
