Hello,
I'm using waterline finishing with a ball nose cutter and when machining a cylindrical surface I end up with a large scallop at the apex (see attached picture). Any ideas on how to get rid of it?
The scallop is larger than the scallop parameter setting. Using a finishing plane operation gets rid of the problem but I'm milling expanded polystyrene (EPS) which doesn't like to be plunged. A better finish is given using a waterline type operation approaching via normal to the surface.
