Hi, we recently got hold of an axyz automation 4008 cnc router.
the previous owner wanted to get rid of it because the computer they had set it up with broke down and they tossed it. so i'm wondering if anyone here can help me with how to set up the machine with a 'new' computer to program the machine with. And what kind of software i need to control it?

the circuit board inside the machine reads:
AMC Connection Board Rev D
Axyz Automation Inc 1997

it has what they call a sub console that is still intact.

pretty good router, software was propietary and is well out dated, you could go with mach 3 or wincnc and a new controll box yet someone may be able to use existing drives. this fellow does retrofits

i see on their web page that you can get the a2mc controller for it.
but i was hoping there was some way to use it as it is, with a computer.

probably so, he retro fited an older machine for me in 08 to wincnc and i purchased a new one shortly after that

does anyone know if it's possible to get a copy of the axyz toolpath software.
i have written an email to axyz, but havent received an answer.
