I am having trouble picking cad software to ultimatly use and learn from.
I want to pick one and stick to it.

What I plan to use it for is for rocket and plane stuctures. Can anyone help me out? It needs to be able to transfer to thermodynamic and stuctural analysis software for analytical testing etc then back for the parts to finally be cut out on a CNC.

Anyone??? I want my own mini pro factory in my garage.

Lots of options here. What's your budget?

For that kind of power maybe consider ProE or Unigrapics. They have built in (added upgrades anyway) for structural analysis and cnc utilities. Pricey though (for a garage shop). Just for note, ProE has a 'learning curve' from here to China. I'm sure there are some others too. Just off the top of my head.

Other than that, as Rekd said, theres a lot of options.

Welll I already have alibre and I have been using that. But unfortunatly it does not do everything I want it to do.

Could anyone post in amount category increments?
For example for such to such amount expect to get this
for this such and such amount which Boeing etc use's you get this.

I am really new to this and will be spending many years using these things. So I am willing to spend the money based on what I can do in the shop. Which is almost everything.

SolidWorks with FEA and a thermal add in probably be about $18k, I believe UG is around $35. (all prices in Canadian dollars ;-))
