12"X30" Lathe on Ebay, $1000 - good deal?

Auction ends tonight (6/24/05), located in MI:

It's an older machine that would need some work, I am sure, but do you guys think this is a decent deal? Nobody has bid on it yet....maybe there's a reason - donno.

I am in the hunt for a medium sized lathe...this one caught my eye.

Cinncinatti made machines to last, the tooling could be worth a bit, but you have to consider the shipping cost, unless you are picking it up.
I expect to see some snipers though.

Yep I am with Al on thisone. the shipping costs for me are around $1200, so I would be better off to buy from SOuthern California. I am sure they may be some snipping going on that one for that price. I bet the local machinery dealers may even be looking.
