    Unhappy Bad Monitor

I just picked up a mill with a Fanuc OM-C control and the monitor is out. So far all I've checked is fuse 13 on the power board, and it's OK. I seem to remember reading something about checking some capacitors on the monitor, but can't find anything on it now that i need it . Can someone point me in the right direction... Thanks

If its a LCD monitor, hold a flash light up to the screen, if you can see images that means just the backlight is burnt out and thats usually an easy fix.
Pull apart the monitor and find the board that has a few sets of 2 wires going into it thats the backlight board. Take a look at the capacitors on the board if you run your finger over the tops of them and they feel bubbled up kind of like a bomb went off inside the shell they need replaced.

No LCD, it's a mid 90's Vectrax with a monochrome monitor, but I'll take a look at the caps for signs of internal combustion! Thanks
