    Fanuc Tape Cut W0 resistor

Just bought a Fanuc wire cutter. Problem: no EDM power.
Resistor R51 has blown out. It's placed between 2 connectors on top/at the right side of the discharging board (DSC PCB).
Because I cannot get an electrical scheme I hope someone can give me the colorcode on the resistor or send me a picture of the resistor.

    Blown item.

    Hi Gert,

Just sent you a private message then seen your pictures.

the blown item is turquoise in colour as with many.

    look at bottom of board.
2 vertical black heat sinks, to the left of left heat sink 'R247' Value 100 micro Joules 3.
yours is physically this size with the 3 on the end but resistance is- 200 micro Joules.

    hope this helps.

my machine was functioning well all weekend until reverse alarm repeated on skim cut and now EDM power button on front panel wont light or hold in?
chasing around for over loads and fuses but not sure which area to look as no schematics either!!!

    Kind regards,
    Chris.

    Blown resistor

    Hello Chris,

I first reacted on your private message and afterwards read the message "Blown item"
    Thanks again for answering.
Because the fan of the U-V- axis unit was blocked by dirt (see picture) the resistor (electrical placed in line/decreases speed) was blown.
I checked the description you made and also my Farnell (Farnell / Electronic Component Distributors / Suppliers / Electronics, Electrical Parts, Electrical Components and Wholesale Electronics.) book. Specifications resistor R51: 200 Ohm, MOR series (J) 1Watt .

    Best Regards
    Gert

    Hello Chris,

    Just for information.
The J on the resistor stands for tolerance code and not as I mentioned for MOR series.
    In this case 200 Ohm +/- 5%
    The picture is clear.

    Gert
