    Lithograph Material

    Hey all,

I am about 3 weeks into my new Taig CNC and I have some ideas of some projects I want to perform. I have some pictures of my deceased father and sister that I would like to make into some nice displays. I have a woodworking background so I can make the fixtures.

What I need to know is what material works best for a backlight lithograph display? I have seen some made from PVC but PVC is pretty opaque.

If you answer the above material question, can you please give me a lead as to where the best place to purchase is? I know there is probably tons of places to get materials but if you have a place that you have been treated right, then I would love to hear it.

Thanks and I am enjoying my new machine! STEEP learning curve!!

How thin do you need to cut this to make it look correctly? Corian is pretty opaque....

Somewhere around .03 I think. I've only made one, and made it a little thinner than that, but it's pretty fragile.
