    Vactra 2 for Vactra 1?

The manual for my machine (Acromax MX16 from 1984) recommends "Vactra No 1 or equivalent".

I can't seem to find Vactra 1 in anything less than 5 gallon bucket. I really don't want to spend that much seeing as the lube that was in the 1.5 quart reservoir has lasted me almost a year. I don't use the machine that much. I see Vactra 2 is available in 1 gallon containers. If I'm reading this right, it would seem #1 is 10w and #2 is 30w so that's probably not a good substitute.

Ideas? Suggestions? Place that sells #1 in less than 5gal containers?

    Thanks,
    Mike

I would check with some local tooling houses. I know the local one here has small containers available. And yes, Vac 2 is more of a standard.

A lot of very excellent info here:

Seems the old Vactra 1 is now Vacuoline 1405
