I have imported a solid I am looking to create some wireframe geometry such as points etc. When I try to select the edge of a solid hole it does not highlight or select it. I do have highlight toggle on.

Do I have to extract curve edges from the solid? If so how do I do that?

When you import, you have the option of importing the wireframe at the same time. That's the easiest way.

You can also highlight the whole part and then right click, copy, smash, then you have all your arcs lines and points you can click to.

In the past ESPRIT selected the solid first into the group when highlight wasn't on. Now I think it picks the smallest element you are hovering over. With highlight it will gradually select the larger and larger elements (example, edge(s) then face(s) then solid model)

Otherwise you have to have the hi mode on.

Or as a prev. poster said use the options in the import and check "import wireframe"

Or pick the whole model, CTL+C, then S key twice for smash, and hit ENTER and you'll have all the geo. But if you need it a lot, just check import geo on the import options.
