    Does anyone know where I can purchase round stock in the Dallas / Plano area?

    I work in Austin, and we get all of our aluminum from Trident in Dallas. There's also a local metal supplier here called Metals 4 U that's really friendly to hobbyists and non-industrial types. Check to see if there's one up where you are.

    Speedy Metals has an office in Grand Prairie. They seem to have good prices. Also Metal Supermarkets has both a Dallas and Fort Worth office.
