How to make an imitation wood sign

Here is a video I made to show how to make MDF look like wood.
The technique is easy to do and I hope some of you give it a try.

Here are some photo's of the result achieved and the video show how it was done.
Please note they are all MDF.

Sorry I can't seem to embed the video but if someone can let me in on the secret I will do it.

    Cheers

I dot them at Bunnings, which is a large Australian hardware chain store.
When I was looking for them on the net I some on EBay. Just do a search for wood graining tool. ZAR seems to make them in the USA and I sure there are many others. You can also get combs for straight grains but I haven't found any in New Zealand as yet.

    Cheers

Thanks for the info, Peter and Gerry. Looks like I'll have to check the next time I'm at Lowes.

Thanks Guy's for the kind words.
Strange how this video sat here for over a year before anyone took any notice
It is surprising how well MDF comes out when using this technique and most people can't tell it isn't wood. I hope you fine it useful.

    Cheers
