Help! New to 10M on Mycenter 1

I recently acquired a MyCenter 1 with a fanuc 10M control. Everything seems to function correctly except that I cannot get it to work on automatic modes. In manual, I can get the spindle working, toolchanger, all axes, etc; but there is a "stop" next to the mem/edit/mdi/jog on the control, and when I cycle start in mem mode I get an sr592 "End of record error." Does anyone have any insight into this issue? I've ran later fanucs, but never any of the earlier models and its been a while at any rate. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Mike

According to my 10M manual there's an EOR specified half-way through a block. If I remember correctly, EOR is a % sign. Do you have an M02 or M30 at the end of the program?

Actually I don't know. I just recieved the machine and was trying to run a program that was already in memory. I'll have to look at it shortly and see. Thanks for the reply though, I'll have to go look through the code more closely and see what I can figure out.

It has an M30 at the end. The program also seems to have extra EOB's on otherwise blank lines. I would assume the control would ignore them, but perhaps I'm wrong?

    Extra EOB's shouldn't cause a problem. You don't see a % sign anywhere?

There is the standard % at the end after the M30, but not one at the beginning. I can't see how to enter one on the control if I wanted to however.

How about if you create a simple program in memory and try running that?
