Max 2 BMC 25, circa 1990. When you hit the e-stop to shut down the servos the Z axis sometimes creeps downwards. It creeps very slowly and sometimes comes to a stop by itself, others not. With a bit of effort you can push against it to bring it to a standstill.
It appears the previous owner added a piece of 2" plate to the counterweight, but this could be original, I am not sure. Either way it still doesn't hold the head up!
My question is, is there a brake on the Z axis on this machine that might be not working?
Thanks in advance, Gregor
