I happened upon this site and was blown away by the prices on these ball screws. I have not purchased anything from them. Somebody retrofitting a larger machine might be interested.

The prices are good, But most of the screws are custom for machines, & would not work very well for most DIY builders

They would require modification for sure.
Unless you are buying a kit, so would any other ball screw purchased for a retrofit.
Given the pennies on the dollar price, seems like it would be worth it.

The problem with a lot of them, is the Ball nut,(they have double nuts) if you look at them, they are about 6" long,& some are longer than that, they would not be any good for a DIY machines, so if you can use the the ball screws with the single shorter nuts, then they would be a good deal

I don't see how you could use them anyway - it appears the only information they give you is the length of the screw - nothing about diameter or pitch.

I went to HGR planning to buy a ball screw they had listed, looked to be about 0.750" diameter and perhaps 24" long in the picture. When I arrived, it turned out to be about 2.750" diameter and about 72" long.
The place is amazing and I can't stop myself from going back each time some spare money hits my pockets.

Google shows 20001 Euclid Ave., Euclid, OH as a vacant lot. There is a plant next door which may be the actual address. It appears to be closed.
Is HGR Industrial jobbing the site?
Google is off by a smidge, the plant is HGR.
