    Captain L-370 RS-232 PIP question

How do you send/receive a file on p100? I know how on the windows side but would like to set it on the okuma. When I turn it on in the perameters and reboot then go to edit I don't see the PIP like on our older lathes any help would be great

I would expect that you would have the ability to use a network connection?
IS there anything to indicate that you have network connection (check under Macman properties in parameters).

sorry for off-topic, but why do you need RS232 OSP connection while you use "windows" communication to a PC?

OMG! I feel sick... I actually agree with you for once!
    Must go see a doc!

The "P" Series control and above come with network capabilities, check your manuals for information on the setup information for this.
Once configured you can call up files that are on a connected PC/Server very easily.
Much easier and faster than using RS232.

    HAHAHAHA, He's right though.

@ the OP-- using RS232 with that control is like using one of those old rotary dial telephones when you have an iphone. It's a waste of time to get configured right, to actually talk to the machine, everything. Be happy you don't need it.
