You need a relay to switch the DCM and Forward top row of the VFD above where you have the 0-10v, you need to set PD044=01

so an output from Mach 3 that turns the Relay on for M3 and off for M5

Fix your Ground wire connection, these are important, also check the pin 4 at the spindle for Ground, continuity between Pin 4 and the spindle body, this is very important, most have to be modified

This is how you would do it without the reverse

Yes that is correct, but check the DCM on the top Terminal row is the same as the bottom row DCM, it should be, what you can do to check is to just use a jumper wire, between the FOR and the DCM this should start your spindle if all your settings are correct, you can not run it like this, only test

If it does not start with this, then there may be a jumper that you need to change Do the PD044 setting try this first, is the 0-10v output working, have you checked it's output to see if the voltage changes as you change the speed in Mach3

    Hello!
I have connected the VFD like on the attachment.

The 0-10V output from my breakout board is working. PD001=1, PD044=01. When I start the VFD is run up to 24000 rpm, even it get 3V from the 0-10V cable. What is wrong?

EDIT: I have tested both DCM ports - the problem is the same

You can't just try each DCM ports you have to check with a meter with the power off, this is very unusual that there are ( 2 ) DCM ports, and I suspect, it is either labeled wrong or that you may have a VFD that is a copy, a poor copy of the real thing

looking from the front,to the right side of the terminal block you will see J1 this is a jumper that may need changing, move the jumper to VI

It will look similar to this photo

    Hello!
I have already made an circuit continuity test and it has continuity. so I think the DCM ports are the same... the J1 jumper was already on VI... any other suggestions?

That is correct if they have continuity either could be used, strange the jumper was already set, as this disables the keyboard when set on V1, this may be backwards, but try the PD044 change first
    Try PD044=02

Are these 2 connections correct VI has the 0-10v and the common to ACM are correct, with these ( 2 ) wires disconnected, connect them to you meter does the voltage change when you change the speed command from Mach3

I see you did not set these Parameters in your Parameter list, you need these set

PD70=0 ( This may need to be set to 1 for normal use )
    PD72=400
    PD73=120

    Hello!
    Now I have also set PD44=1, PD70=0, PD72=400 and PD73=120. Same problem.

The 0-10V signal was on VI and ground on ACM. I have made two pictures with 10000rpm and 20000rpm ( set on mach3).There you can see, that the voltage changes (Y)

    That all looks good

    Try this Parameter PD002=1

you are a hero - it works

but i have another small problem: When I say 24000rpm in mach 3 i get 23900rpm on the inverter, but when I reduce the rpm in mach3 the difference get bigger and bigger:

on mach3 | on the inverter

    24000rpm - 23910rpm
    20000rpm- 20470rpm
    16000rpm- 17220rpm
    12000rpm-14340rpm
    10000rpm-12960rpm
    8000rpm-11700rpm

    Where can i calibrate it?

So did you have PD044 set to 01 or 02, or do both work

Calibrate, this can be hit and miss with Mach3 under motor tuning you can play with the spindle settings,
Under Config you have Pulley selection

Under Ports & Pins you have spindle setup motor control

Some PWM controls also have a Trimpot to adjust the Voltage

So lots to play with, but will mostly be to do in the spindle setup adjusting the Frequency, if the other pulley settings Etc are correct

    ok thank you very much

PD44 01 or 02 work both... which would you take?

02 is the Drive default,so that is why I don't have it in my Parameter list, it's just one parameter that normally is not needed to be changed

There is another Parameter that can affect the speed so if all else fails you can play with this parameter

PD071 default it is set at 20 it has a range of 0-50 with can change how the speed is controlled, only go there after the mach 3 settings have been setup

Re: Huanyang Chinese VFD settings and manual here!

    Hi all,
I have bought myself the Routakit SDX machine everything is built I am just stuck on the Huanyang VFD. I also have the 1.5 spindle
the parameters that I have set for the VFD are as follows.
    PD013 - 8
    PD001 - 0
    PD002 - 1
    PD004 - 400
    PD005 - 400
    PD006 - 2.5
    PD007 - 0.5
    PD008 - 220
    PD009 - 15
    PD010 - 8
    PD011 - 120
    PD014 - 5
    PD015 - 5
    PD023 - 0
    PD025 - 1
    PD041 - 8
    PD072 - 400
    PD073 - 120
    PD141 - 220
    PD142 - 7
    PD143 - 2
    PD144 - 3000

and in that order if that matters :?: I have seen some people believe the order you do matters but others say different.

The spindle runs BONUS!! no overheating . but I have come across one issue. I have the control knob on the VFD. start spindle on slow with the knob turned left as I turn the knob fully right to achieve maximum RPM(24000) it stays on 15600ish. does anyone know why this is??

    Thanks in advance

It does not matter what order or how you set the Parameters, as long as they do get set correctly

You are missing a critical Parameter, and will damage your spindle, I'm not sure why people can't follow the parameters I post, the list I did has been around everywhere for the last 5 years

PD003=400 this must be set this is one of the critical Parameters and you don't have it in your list, a guess you have left it at the Default of 0/50hz, if this Parameter is left at the 0/50Hz it will damage your Spindle

PD002=0 this needs to be Zero if using the keyboard control, only if you use remote control you change it to ( 1 )

You have added 2 other Parameters which should be left as Default

    PD023=0
    PD025=0

If they are not in list of Parameters to change then you should not mess with any other parameters, unless you are an expert VFD control programer

Re: Huanyang Chinese VFD settings and manual here!

    Hi mactec54

I have got the variable speed control on the VFD so I have left the PD002 as is but the others I have changed and still having no luck. turn the knob fully right and it still only reaches 15600 RPM??
Would I just be better of resetting the VFD with PD013 -8 and going through it all again?

    kind regards
