    Fanuc Series O-TC

    Hey guys,

I'm trying to communicate with an EMCO PC Turn 50 and I was wondering if anybody knows which protocol the Fanuc Series O-TC uses for the RS485 communication. I want to use labview to try and move that thing.

We have this at the school and the robotics professor asked me if I could try and get this thing to move so it doesn't just sit there. I have tried communicating with it but I'm not able to open up the communication.

    Thanks

    Exclamation FANUC OT_C COMM

IF U USE BRATEO THEN FANUC PARA 2 BIT 0 SETS TO 1 FOR 2 STOP BITS ORT 0 FOR 1 STOP BIT..ALSO PARA 552 SETS BAUD RATE WHEN BRATE 0 IS
USED. SETTING VALUE 1 THRU 11...REFLECTING BAUD RATE 50 THRU 9600.

IF USING BRATE 1 THEN PARA 12 IS SAME AS PARA 2 AND PARA 553 IS SAME AS PARA552.

BRATE SETTING IS ON SETTING I/O SCREEN AS 1 OR 0.

Why not just use RS232? I've never seen anything on RS485 in ANY Fanuc manuals.
