PRICE ALERT - HF Bench Mill (or Lathe?) Stand - $59

Sorry if this has already been posted, but I wanted to alert my CNC Zone peeps to this HF sale.
    http://www.harborfreight.com/stand-f...ine-47599.html
They have $100 off their bench mill stand. I don't see why it wouldn't work for a lathe also. I probably won't order one because I don't have room for it, but it's a great price.

EDIT: Truck shipping eats up the entire savings. But no matter how you slice it, it's still $100 less. Would be a great deal if you could pick one up in the store.

Hmmm, I wonder if that stand would handle an RF-45 clone?

    Papa Foxtrot,

It should work fine with a RF-45 clone, the specs are listed below:

Designed for use with heavy duty milling/drilling machine.

Locking cabinet and drawer. 2200 lbs. weight capacity.

    Jeff...

I was mainly wondering if the mounting base would be large enough for the RF-45. Couldn't find the -45 base dimensions online anywhere.

I saw that too. I found a nice dayton stand on craigslist for $50 but someone beat me to it. If they carry those things in the store they wouldn't have to give them away. Im not going to pay $85 for shipping on a $59 stand .

I thought that Harbor Freight would ship to a store, but I don't see that option...

I ask them if they would ship it to a store and they said no. We have 2 stores in my area and both said the same thing , some products can only be mail ordered . they said they only stock a certain percentage of catalog products . I forget what the percentage is though.

for us do it yourselfers 150 bucks goes a long way.

Hope to investigate Indy HF tomorrow. Heading down to replace washer and dryer... that's going to cost more than my lathe and mill combined and way less fun to run
Wen I was young, I spent most of my money on fast women, slow horses, and cheap booze. The rest of it I just wasted.

Hey, if they have them in stock let me know and I'll snag one on the way home.

Btw, didn't you just rebuild the tranny on the washer? What happened now?

Have you received the stand yet? Is it green in color (as shown on the web site) or red or some other color?

What are you planning to put on top of it?

They actually had it in stock at the store (the only 1 they had). If it was not in stock at the store, then I would have to order online and pay shipping because they cannot order non stock items to the store anymore for some reason unknown to me? Maybe someone knows the reason, if so please chime in.
It is GREEN ,it is made for my 33686 mill/drill, I bought the 33686 a while back for 899.00 - 20% and they shipped it to the store for free!!! that has changed

    Unhappy

It appears this stand is now discontinued.

I was able to get one at full price from the store about 2 years ago, but need another for my benchtop Sinker EDM project. To be honest its hard to really do it as a benchtop with the extra plumbing for flushing and fluid storage tank.
