PC program for PROTOTRAK DPM5 Mill?

    Greetings,
Is there a generic program that I can load into a laptop or PC that will allow me to design or program up a part for machining on a PROTOTRAK SMX DPM5 Mill without standing at the mill and doing inputs? A local vendor wants $1,000.00 for such software. That's well beyond what I'm willing to spend for being able to design parts away from the mill. So, I'm looking to see if there is a readily available program that will work for this mill yet be very cost efficient.
    Thanks for reading,
    Gos

    Hello Gos,

Dolphin PartMaster has post-processors for the Prototrak controller, the programs are created on your PC then transferred to the controller either by the floppy disk or Rs232.

When you load the programs from the PC onto the controller they appear as events, as though you had programmed on the machine.

Thanks for the lead. Off the top of my head, I'm not sure if this will help or not. I'm an old machinist not an operator so it's all confusing...
