    yaskawa position drive

    hello, everyone
    i am facing a "parity error" problem with yaskawa position drive. it happen when tool magazine rotates and take the position, immediately it occure. pl.guide me to solve the problem. This drive is fitted on Makino FNC72 vertical machining center with fanuc 0mb system

    sounds like you have a problem with the magazine counter. Look at the wiring diagrams and find the inputs for magazine count. It could be a series of switches or an angle encoder, but parity error normally means a signal has been lost (or gained) from the counter. I.e. prox switch fault or a channel proble on an encoder.

    i.e.

    even parity 0011; 1010; 1100 etc; (not 1110 or 1011)
    odd parity 0001, 1101, 1110 etc; (not 0011 or 1010)

    These are only examples, you need to look at the counter inputs for a missing signal (or one staying on when it should be off).
