    Vcarve pro finishing pass?

I can't seem to find a straight answer around anywhere. I am using V-carve pro to cut out a motor plate. I would like it to cut the part out and then go back in and clean up all my edges do a sort of 1000ths type pass. Do I need to create the finishing cut manually or is there an automatic way to do this?

I am strictly cutting out a shape with no pockets. What affects my cut quality?

You need to create two toolpaths. You can use the same vector, just use an allowance offset for the first pass to leave it a little bigger.

If you're looking to see just how good you can get the edges, you might want to try adding a circular lead to "roll" into the cut. It's really amazing how nice an edge you can get. I've been working on this for the last week or so, and I've had the best results with a circular lead and a .005 climb cut.

Sorry to bring this back to life but I just wanted to say thank you for the help! My part is all finished and looking great! Everything worked out pretty good for my second attempt at a CNC mill. I only slightly ruined my endmill and took out one finger clamp
