    Fanuc 15MA 4 place decimals

We have reloaded everything on the machine after we lost the memory. Everything is going well, except the archived parameters have the display at 3 places. Anyone know how to change this to four place?

Also, is it possible to "punch" all of our 8000 and 9000 programs at once or do we have to do them individually?

    Thanks.

If you haven't yet run a program since reloading everything, it may be as simple as being in Metric Unit mode. Try programming G20 in MDI to see if that fixes the problem. If not, there is a parameter for setting the least input increment and least command increment. It's parameter number 1004, bit 0 and 1 both set to zero. This parameter is for later series controls and I can't check at the moment if its the same with the 15 series.

Yes, all these programs can be punched out at once. You will have to change a parameter bit to enable editing of 8000 to 8999 and 9000 to 9999 before being able to punch these programs. Once this is done, from Edit mode, key in O-9999 and Output or Punch to punch all programs in memory.

    Regards,

    Bill

Thanks, it was the metric/inch thing. I had changed that setting and must have overwritten it at some point.

However, on the display screen we have 4 place decimals for everything but the machine position section. We still need to change that.

    Parameter 1004 is all zeroes.

It appears that the machine positions are still in metric. A G20 in MDI does not fix it.

Update: Parameter 2003 bit 1 to 1 fixed it.
