    Visual Mill 6.0

I am having trouble using Visual Mill 6.0 to create a G code file for the attached STL file. Is it possible to create a 3-axis G code file using the STL file I have created?

I would appreciate someone's help in using Visual Mill 6.0 to create a 3-axis G code file to machine this part.

    Thanks

What did you design the part in?
And what exactly is the problem you're having?

The file is not importing correctly for me in VM, Solidworks, or Rhino. If you can save it in a different format it may help.

What was the solution in the end?

    webgeek,

The solution involved learning how to properly orient the part geometry. In other words, creating two G code programs -- one machining the part from the top, then flipping the part over to machine the part from the bottom.
