Hi,
A friend of mine is considering V Carve Pro for use on their Anderson Stratos Router with a Fanuc control for producing some parts.
The Anderson Stratos is currently running Cabinet Vision and outputs the data to another small computer running Alpha Edit which stores the files which are then sent individually to the Fanuc controller in the Anderson Router which has limited memory.
I downloaded the Trial Version to look at the post processors and they list a couple for the Anderson.
Anderson (mm) (*.nc)
Anderson ATC (mm) (*.nc)
I would think the (mm) means metric.
He would be looking for an (inch) post processor for the Anderson Stratos router as we are in the USA. Maybe is needs the post processor for the Fanuc instead of the Anderson Stratus????
1. Does Vcarve Pro offer an (Inch Version) Post Processor for the Anderson Stratus Router?
2. Can Vcarve Pro export the generated GCODE directly to the Fanuc control on the Anderson Stratos router without utilizing the Alpha Edit software for storing the programs? Not sure if the Alpha Edit software is a requirement of the cabinet vision software or the Fanuc control on the Anderson Stratos router.
Currently the files that currently come from cabinet vision to the small computer with Alpha Edit loaded have a Suffix on the end of the file as (.anc). This may be a file that is readable by the Alpha Edit program.
