I'll try to use my best English, but the exact name of tool and technical about this activities are not stored in my vocabulary.

I'm planning to get an cnc router +/- 2500x1300, I'll cut templates out of wood panel 10mm.
this is not unusual.
but my question is. Is it possible to use the same machine to cut 2mm steel sheet big format 1000x2500 using a kind of drill ?.
I don't want to get a laser or plasma cnc, because I have no need to cut more than 2mm thick steel.
It would be great if somebody could help me to understand more on this .

you can cut the steel by the machine with thickness 2mm, but the router bit will be easy to be use up. the best choice is by the spindle with low rotate speed and high torque.
be sure the router bit need be cooled by the water when the machine is working.

I will chose a cnc for granite anyway, that allow to cut wood too.
So spindel is water cooled and the table will be water proof.
how much meter can i cut with one bit before it says good bye.

please keep the engraving speed not so fast, I mean the engraving depth for one time. and the router bit made by alloy will be a good choice also will be little more expensive. the machine are almost same between the normal CNC Router and marble engraving machine
