    contour toolpath containment

Trying to cut a 2" straght edge of a part with a simple contour path in X3. Problem is the toolpath want to arc into cut and comes to far past the edge and will hit vise jaw. So I want to make a containment area or boundary, but can't seem to fin how to do this with a 2d contour? Is containment only a feature of 3d paths?

You can adjust the lead in/lead out angles and distances.

Yeah - try actually turning off the lead in/out to see if what that does for you. Then, if you want some lead in or out, turn it back on and start messing with the distances, radius', as well as on the bottom of the window - the extend/shorten.

The default is like 100% tool diameter for distance to lead in and also radius, so it is pretty much ALWAYS too much.
